The Register's online Voter Guide is designed to help you learn
about candidates and issues for every office from president to your city council
and school board. Candidates in every contested race were invited to respond.
Questions were posed by the Register reporters most familiar with each contest.
You can search by ZIP Code for many contests. You also can compare candidates' responses to our questions and create a personalized ballot to take with you to the polls.
For full explanations of California ballot measures, go to EasyVoter.org, which provided the brief Voter Guide summaries.
Uncontested races are not included in the Voter Guide but may appear on your local ballot.
We hope you find the site valuable.
